Things to Consider

• If you happen to push the engine hard for a quick overtake on the Makkah road, it needs a moment to respond. The 165 hp is decent but not always enough for a car of this size when the car is fully loaded with seven passengers.
• The Xterra handles well what Saudi families actually encounter on camping trips and mountain drives.
• There is no hybrid or more powerful engine option available in Saudi Arabia.

• Expectedly, visibility from the driver's seat is clear and commanding. The upright body gives you a confident view ahead and to the sides, which helps at busy intersections and when turning through roundabouts.
• The Around View Monitor on the Platinum makes parking in tight spots much easier. So navigating the older, narrower streets in central Jeddah is noticeably less stressful with the overhead view.
• On Riyadh highways, the ride is composed and settled. The large road imperfections are absorbed without disturbing the cabin, and the body-on-frame setup handles rough stretches near older areas in Jeddah and Dammam in a way a softer crossover cannot match.
• The Intelligent Driver Alertness system monitors steering behavior and prompts you to rest when it detects fatigue signs. On the long drive from Riyadh to Jeddah, that alert is genuinely useful and arrives at the right moment.

Things That Matter More

• Tyre noise enters the cabin noticeably at highway speeds. It is one of the clearest reminders that the Xterra is a work-minded SUV, not a quiet touring vehicle.
• Also, the body roll in sharp corners is present and easy to feel. The suspension is tuned for stability on rough terrain, not for confident cornering on mountain roads.
• The steering is light and precise enough for parking and city driving but offers very little feel when you want some feedback from the road.
• The ladder-frame ride, which is an asset off-road, creates a slightly busier cabin feel on smooth city tarmac compared to crossover rivals.

• At the base, you get fabric seats, manual climate control, rear air conditioning vents, push-start ignition, and 17-inch alloy wheels. 
• On the higher ones, there are dual-zone automatic climate control, wireless charging, rear USB ports, LED fog lamps, and the 4WD system option. This is where most families find the right balance between monthly commitment and equipment.
• With the top-end variants, you get power-adjusted front seats, 18-inch machine-cut alloys, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto on the 9-inch screen, and the full Around View Monitor. The 11-inch flip-down rear entertainment screen for third-row passengers is a genuine help on the long drive from Riyadh to Madinah with children in the back.
• Zero Gravity seats in the front and second rows are a real feature, not just a marketing claim. On the Riyadh to Qassim road, you feel the difference after two hours compared to a standard seat.
• Physical climate controls are present, not buried inside a touchscreen.

What is Missing

• You may find the 9-inch touchscreen is functional but lacks the sharpness and responsiveness.
• Third-row access is manageable for children and average-size adults, but tall adults will not be comfortable back there on a long journey. Legroom in row three is tight.
• The hard plastic surfaces are visible across the lower dashboard and door panels. Frankly, the Xterra does not pretend to be a luxury SUV, but at Platinum prices, some of those surfaces feel like a mismatch with the sticker.
• No panoramic sunroof is available on any trim, which is quite strange for a car of this segment in 2026.

What is Included

• Considering this is a powerful mid-size SUV, every Xterra sold in Saudi Arabia comes standard with dual front airbags, ABS with electronic brake force distribution, vehicle stability control, traction control, hill start assist, tire pressure monitoring, a rear camera, and ISOFIX child seat anchors.
• Intelligent Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and Lane Change Indicator are included across the whole range from the SE trim upward.
• The Platinum adds the Intelligent Around View Monitor with moving object detection, which alerts you to pedestrians and obstacles at low speeds. This is one of the more genuinely useful features for busy urban parking in Riyadh and Jeddah.

Things to Consider

• No independent crash test rating from Euro NCAP or ANCAP exists for the Gulf market specification of the Xterra.
• The warranty covers three years or 100,000 km
• Resale value for the Xterra benefits from the Nissan nameplate, which carries genuine trust in Saudi Arabia built over decades. If you finance through Murabaha and plan to sell after three to four years, the Nissan badge will protect your exit value better than newer or less established brands in this space.
