Some Realities

• At the base trims, with FWD, you get a weaker engine, no AWD, and a thinner features list. Most of what makes the Santa Fe compelling appears at the mid- and high-end variants. Buyers on Aqsat should price the AWD trims from the beginning, not settle for the base model just because it is affordable.​

• You don’t get a hybrid on this SUV; if you want one, then something else.

Further, the suspension is well tuned to keep the cabin absolutely comfortable even during those dreadful rough patches on the highway. Things That Matter More

• In the city, the Santa Fe is large enough. Especially if you are in Jeddah's older streets or on some congested roads in older cities. Buyers who spend most of their time in central districts will experience these dimensions regularly. 
• Even though it is a well-rounded SUV, you may feel body roll in sharp corners. 
• While the suspension is tuned for motorway comfort, which is the right trade-off, buyers coming from something sportier will feel the adjustment immediately.
• The Smart FWD variant on wet roads, which do occur in Jeddah and Asir in winter, will show its limits. If there is any uncertainty in your driving environment, the Comfort AWD variant is the best pick.

• The mid-variant Comfort AWD gets ventilated and heated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, leather, adaptive cruise, a power tailgate, and terrain modes. Ventilated seats plus AWD at this price range through Murabaha is why this is the trim that most buyers find most suitable. 
• Rear AC vents with independent controls are available from the Comfort. Third-row passengers get dedicated vents on higher trims. In a Saudi July, this is a basic requirement, not a luxury, and Hyundai delivered it without burying it at the top trim.​

What is Missing

• The base Smart variant's cabin feels like a different car next to the Comfort. It has a smaller screen, no terrain modes, and fabric seats. Buyers who test the Comfort will find the Smart hard to settle for.​
• Hard plastic surfaces appear on lower door cards even on the Comfort trim. The inconsistency is most obvious when you run a hand down the full panel.​
• There is no wireless Android Auto below the Comfort, and in the base variant, Android users are limited to cables.

• All Saudi trims come standard with six airbags, ABS with EBD, Electronic Stability Control, traction control, Hill Hold Assist, tyre pressure monitoring, and a rear camera. This is actually a great offering from Hyundai. 
• If you move to the mid-range, then comes Forward Collision Avoidance, Lane Keeping Assist, Blind Spot Warning, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert. These systems matter on the congested interchanges around Riyadh and Jeddah, where the margin for error shrinks quickly.
• On the top-end variant, you get a 360-degree surround-view camera on the Premium and Calligraphy variants, which makes parking in crowded Saudi mall lots and tight residential gates noticeably less stressful.

Things to Consider

• The Smart trim carries a lighter ADAS suite than the Comfort and above. Buyers choosing the Smart for budget reasons are also accepting reduced active protection. That gap is larger than it looks in a features comparison table.
• No independent Saudi market crash test result exists. The Santa Fe has performed strongly in ANCAP testing on other specs, but Gulf-specific verified data would help buyers compare with confidence.
