ROX 01 Launch Brings All-Terrain luxury to the Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia: ROX Motor has made an entry in the UAE market with the launch of the ROX 01. A luxury all-terrain SUV launched in partnership with the Laith AlObaidi Group. With the EREV (Extended Range Electric Vehicle) powertrain catering to the growing demand for electric or hybrid vehicles for the Vision 2030. It competes with the other off-road-capable, high-end electric SUVs from the established players.  

ROX 01 Pricing and Segment

The ROX 01 price starts at approximately 235,000 SAR, offering an affordable alternative to the high-end SUVs available in KSA. It offers a good package of top-tier luxury, massive cabin space, and 4x4 off-road capabilities without paying premium pricing. Positioned as a high-end, intelligent SUV, it targets the luxury all-terrain electric vehicle (EV) and extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) segments.

Powertrain and Performance 

The ROX 01 packs a big 56-kWh large battery and 70-liter extra-large fuel tank, giving it a WLTC hybrid range of 1,115 km and a WLTC electric range of 235 km. It delivers a peak torque of 740 N·m and a maximum power of 350 kW. 

• It can go from 0 to 100 km/h within just 5.5 seconds.

ROX 01 Safety performance 

Designed with a focus on safety, it has secured a five-star C-NCAP rating and a perfect score in the CIRI crash test. 87% of the body is made from high-strength steel, with over 32% constructed from hot-formed boron steel to deliver exceptional safety across all terrains. Battery safety is also taken care of with the use of the CATL 5-series ternary lithium battery, ensuring superior temperature control and enhanced safety. It has set new records in terms of the peak roof resistance with 159,730 N, ensuring cabin integrity in case of a rollover. 

Striking Exterior with top-notch interior 

The first thing you notice is the robust build with a boxy, larger body structure. The seats are extra comfy with two different 6- and 7-seating configurations. It looks striking on the road whether you go for any of the available exterior and interior colors for a confident road presence. With the sharp body lines and a straight roof, it creates a bold and classic silhouette, giving it a powerful presence.

ROX 01 Showrooms and availability 

As the orders for the new ROX 01 are already coming in. The brand has already opened multiple showrooms across Arabia since the launch. Al Khurais Road, Al Nassim Al Gharbi, Al Tahiya Street in Riyadh, Al Madina Road, and the Auto Mall in Jeddah are the already opened showrooms where interested buyers can visit and have a look at the vehicles or order online.
