Genesis EV GV 70

• The dual electric motors (AWD) produce up to 429 hp (483 hp in Boost mode) and 700 Nm of instant torque. Power is delivered instantly through a single-speed reduction gear.
• The power delivery is instantaneous and effortless, with silent acceleration and no gear shifts, making it a great strength of the SUV.
• The rear-wheel steering enhances the overall driving experience and reduces the turning radius. That means you can park easily; despite the 4,715 mm length, the Electrified GV70 feels nimble and manageable.
• Another key highlight of the mechanical aspect of the car is the superb and strong balance of the suspension between comfort and control. You instantly know; the firmness also handles corners confidently without feeling harsh over bumps. Furthermore, the Highway Body Motion Control boosts your ride smoothness during acceleration and braking by managing damping forces intelligently.

Some limitations:

• But you feel the steering is slightly heavier than before without adding much road feel. You receive precision and confidence but not much feedback; this is because Genesis focuses more on removing kickback than on engagement.
• This SUV is fully electric with no hybrid or petrol options, which means range anxiety could be a drawback in areas with limited charging infrastructure compared to petrol competitors.

• Highway Driving Assist is the Korean brand's semi-autonomous technology. This feature is one of the key aspects of this SUV. It combines adaptive cruise control with lane centering to maintain safety. The system takes help from sensors, which let you simply rest your hands on the wheel rather than constantly wiggling it. It is quite good and relaxing, but not fully dependent, so you need to be in charge.
• On highways, the suspension remarkably absorbs bumps and rough patches smoothly.  The cabin is ultra-silent thanks to active noise cancellation, acoustic laminated glass, and the absence of engine noise.
• Terrain Mode has snow, mud, and sand settings for light off-road situations, enhanced by instant torque delivery. But don't keep hope for serious trail capability; the system helps on unpaved roads or in adverse weather conditions.

Some compromises:

• You may experience regenerative braking as adjustable via paddles, but one-pedal driving is not as aggressive as some rivals.
• Body roll exists if you go through aggressive cornering. The Electrified GV70 is not exactly as sharp as a Porsche Macan Electric on twisty roads; rather, it focuses on comfort over ultimate handling.
• Ground clearance is suitable for paved roads and light trails only, and this vehicle is not your typical serious off-road SUV. The Electrified GV70 is primarily for city and highway driving, with a 400–450 km real-world range.

• The major highlight has to be the 27-inch OLED integrated display stretching across the entire dashboard. It combines the instrument cluster and infotainment into one seamless curved screen. The interface responds quickly with crisp graphics and intuitive menus. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come standard.

• The soft and absolutely comfortable nappa leather seats are standard with heating and ventilation up front. The front seats have 12-way power adjustment with memory features, and at the rear seats, you get heating and power recline, but only on top trims, which is nothing but creating a first-class experience.

• Entertainment is something not compromised; with the Bang & Olufsen premium audio system with 16 speakers, you get exceptional sound quality. The aluminium speaker covers add visual interest, while the audio performance rivals home theatre systems.

• Digital Key 2 is another highlight that reshapes your smartphone or smartwatch into the vehicle key. So, just walk up with your phone, and the flush door handles pop out automatically.
• The wireless charging pad keeps your phone topped up without cables (up to 15W fast charging). Four USB ports throughout the cabin ensure everyone stays connected. Practical storage solutions include a decent centre console and door pockets.
• Adjustable interior ambient lighting comes standard. Choose from multiple colors to set the mood. The system integrates with the overall cabin atmosphere nicely without being gimmicky.
• The steering wheel has a fresh design with contrast stitching and the Genesis logo, and the controls are easy to use while driving.
• The boot gives you about 500 liters of space behind the second row, which is enough for golf bags and a weekend getaway. Fold the rear seats, and you get around 1,600 liters, so even big items fit easily.

• The design sticks to Genesis’s Athletic Elegance theme, but with electric touches, like a closed grille for better airflow, a hidden charging port, no exhaust pipes, and wheels made for efficiency. The LED headlights have a special micro lens look, making the car stand out. With its sloping roof and bold shape, the Electrified GV70 feels sporty and modern.

Some compromises:

• Rear-seat legroom is adequate but not class-leading. Taller passengers might find the rear quarters tighter than expected for the segment. Some EV rivals offer slightly more space.
• The massive screen eliminates some physical buttons. While the interface works well, some buyers prefer traditional controls for climate and audio functions during driving.

• The first and foremost is the strong safety rating from major testing organizations. This is attributed largely to its high-tensile steel safety cage with energy-absorbing crumple zones that make it exceptional collision protection.
• There are about 9 standard airbags covering driver, passenger, side, curtain, and knee positions. 
• Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist 
• Another equally key feature is the Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist. The Blind-Spot View Monitor showcases live video in the instrument cluster during lane changes.
