Does the Ford Taurus Offer Enough for Its Price Tag?

Saudi Arabia: Most certainly yes, especially the way it looks on the outside. The Ford Taurus has a wide, planted stance that makes it look bigger than it actually is, and that is not a bad thing. With its signature three-bar grille, sharp LED headlights, and overall executive styling, it adds to its appeal. That matters because there are many buyers in Saudi Arabia who are more drawn to the looks and feel while making a buying decision.

Road presence 

Ford gave the Taurus a body that stretches out more than most rivals in this class. The long hood, the slightly swept roofline, and the wide rear give it a road presence that the Hyundai Sonata or Kia K5 simply do not match at this price point. The available 17-inch alloy wheels on higher trims fill the wheel arches well. In Silver, Pearl White, and Magnetic Gray, the exterior colors available for the Saudi market, it photographs well and looks sharp under the Saudi sun.

Stepping Inside

Where things get a little more honest is inside the cabin. The dashboard is clean and easy to read, and the eight-inch touchscreen in the center works well and feels intuitive. Ford's SYNC 4 infotainment system is one of the better systems in this price range, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, which younger buyers in particular will appreciate.

The materials inside may divide opinions; some may like them, while others may find them less refined than some key rivals. You get an upper dashboard with reasonably soft-touch plastic, but lower panels could feel harder and more basic. It is not unusual for the segment, but it is worth knowing because some rivals have made interior quality a stronger selling point recently. The Hyundai Sonata, for example, offers a more premium-feeling interior in certain trims at a similar price point.

Where the Taurus does win clearly is on space. Rear legroom is generous, which matters for Saudi families, where the back seat is often where guests or older family members sit. Boot space is also decent at around 520 liters, which is a practical number for family use or long road trips during Eid.

Comfort Well Taken Care

For your longer city commutes or highway trips, the seats are well cushioned and supportive on long drives, which is something Saudi drivers will appreciate. The ride is clearly tuned for comfort over sportiness, which means the cabin stays quiet and comfy on most road surfaces. Importantly, the road noise is reasonably well controlled, something buyers really prefer at this price point for their comfort and ease. 

The Taurus is a very attractive-looking full-size sedan that also promises to deliver real space and superior comfort. While the interior materials may not feel premium to everyone, they are worthy of their price and overall customer expectations. For sedan buyers, either families or individuals, this sedan is Ford’s excellent overall package, from the road presence to the practical cabin, making it a solid choice.
