• The 1.5L petrol 4-cylinder engine produces 109 horsepower and 142 Newton-meters of torque. That's modest power, but adequate for city and highway driving. 

• Fuel consumption is rated at 16.2 km/litre officially. Real-world experience shows 15-17 km/litre in mixed driving. Highway driving at steady speeds approaches 18 km/h. City driving in heavy traffic drops to 14-15 km/litre. That's genuinely excellent efficiency for a petrol engine. 

• The automatic transmission is a CVT, which is quite smooth and responsive without being exciting. Shifts feel progressive, and help a lot on crowded city roads.

• The MG3 is undoubtedly a small car, a true hatchback, and so a perfect city car with smaller dimensions. This has its own benefits like high mileage and easiest parking even at tight places.

• Ground clearance at 160 mm feels a tag lower, but frankly, it is standard for a hatchback. The front-wheel-drive system handles normal driving confidently, and the car is engineered remarkably to handle city and highway driving with ease.

• Three driving modes are available. Eco, Normal and Sport.

Some limitations: 

• The 1.5L engine feels adequate but leisurely. The acceleration is just fine, not thrilling, but it is not a high-end car. 
• At highway speeds above 130 km/h, wind noise becomes noticeable. That's normal for a compact hatchback. 
• The suspension is comfort-tuned, emphasising smoothness. If you want a car that feels sporty, the MG3 doesn't deliver that character.

• Get in the driving seat, and you feel the place is good for a decent drive, even for a longer stretch. As the visibility is excellent, the upright driving position and large glass areas provide great sightlines. Rear parking sensors and a 360-degree camera on higher trims eliminate reversing concerns. One big advantage of the MG3 is its super-easy parking.

• Wind and road noise at highway speeds are present but controlled. The acoustic insulation is respectable for this price.

• Lane departure warning and lane-keeping assist work effectively on higher trims. Forward collision warning detects objects ahead. Emergency braking activates automatically if collision risk is high. These systems genuinely prevent accidents.

• Adaptive cruise control maintains a distance from vehicles ahead. These safety systems provide peace of mind. On smooth city streets and highways, the suspension feels compliant. Extended driving doesn't cause fatigue, and it should be something buyers would love in real-world use.

• The driving is also enhanced by responsive steering, which is also quite lighter. This is more useful for crowded city roads and parking at places where there is not enough space.

• Body control through corners is stable, and the MG3 leans in curves as expected for a compact hatchback. Lean is controlled and predictable, and you’re always confident in your grip.

Honest observations: 

• The suspension is comfort-tuned, and harsh speed bumps are felt more than in premium vehicles. 

• The hatchback body means some wind noise at speed. The compact size means rear legroom is tight for adults on long journeys.

• The 10.25-inch touchscreen is impressive for the price. Feels responsive, bright, and intuitive. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integrate seamlessly wirelessly, and the navigation works smoothly with real-time traffic information.

• The 7-inch digital cluster display is as clear as one might want, but basic, which serves the purpose well. Everything you need is visible without excessive information.

• Importantly, the comfort is well taken care of inside the cabin. The seats are well-cushioned for daily driving. The fabric upholstery is durable and practical. Five passengers fit comfortably on shorter drives, but for longer journeys, it feels limited rear legroom for adults. That's honest for a hatchback this size.

• The 230-litre boot should serve the purpose for most buyers of this car. The rear seats fold 60/40, expanding cargo space significantly when needed. That flexibility works for practical needs.

• Climate control is manual on base models, automatic on higher trims. The system cools the cabin effectively even in Saudi heat. It responds quickly to temperature changes.

• Another highlight of the cabin is enough storage, cupholders, door pockets, and centre console compartments. The electric sunroof on higher trims opens up the cabin. Push-button start is standard on higher variants, something cool for a car like this. 

• Audio quality is decent for music and podcasts, but not high-fidelity. You will love the interior layout, which is straightforward. Everything has a purpose and doesn’t feel cluttered. The materials are honest for the price: practical plastics on lower trims, softer materials on higher variants.

• Six airbags are standard for dual front, front side, and side curtain. The brand says they are quick to deploy and effective. Three-point seat belts with pre-tensioning are across all seats. ISOFIX child seat anchors are standard.

• ABS with electronic brake-force distribution prevents wheel lockup. Electronic stability control helps prevent skids. Hill-start assist and auto hold are standard. The electric parking brake is reliable.

• Advanced driver assistance systems on higher trims include: forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning with lane-keeping assist, blind spot detection, and rear cross-traffic alert. These work effectively and prevent real accidents.
